Warranty and Return Information

Return Policy

Products or systems may be returned to Erie Computer Company, up to 15 days from the date of invoice, for a refund of the product purchase price minus a 15% restocking fee, this refund will not include any shipping and handling charges shown on your invoice. All returns must have an RMA number. Returns without a clearly written and valid RMA number will be refused at the shipper's cost. Please contact Erie Computer Company Technical support for an RMA number. You must ship the products to Erie Computer Company in their original packaging, prepay shipping charges, insure the shipment or accept the risk of loss or damage during shipment. Please include a copy of your original invoice with your return. You may return software for refund or credit only if the sealed package containing the diskette(s) or CD(s) is unopened. Returned products must be in as new condition, and all of the manuals, diskette(s), CD(s), power cables, and other items included with a product must be returned with it. The 15% restocking fee will only be waived if the shipped product is not as described on our website.


Warranty Information

Limited One-Year Warranty

Erie Computer Company (From here on referred to as "ECC")

ECC warrants that the hardware products it manufactures will be free from defects in materials and workmanship, for a period of one year beginning on the date of invoice. This warranty does not cover damage due to external causes, including accident, abuse, misuse, acts of god, including but not limited to fire, flood, lightning, problems with electrical power, servicing not authorized by ECC, usage not in accordance with product instructions and problems caused by the use of parts or components not supplied by ECC. Many components may carry a longer manufacturer warranty, which may be redeemed from the manufacturer.

This warranty does not cover: any opened or damaged software, accessories or parts added after the system is shipped from ECC, any freight or shipping charges. This warranty is void if the system is used/configured outside of the manufacturer's specifications, eg. overclocking the system in any way.

ECC will repair or replace, at its discretion, products covered under this limited warranty that are returned to ECC. To receive warranty service you must call ECC's Technical Support within the warranty period. If warranty service is required ECC will issue Return Material Authorization number (RMA). DO NOT ship products to ECC without receiving a RMA number, any shipments without a RMA will be refused. Products must be shipped to ECC in the original or equivalent packaging. Contact Technical Support for details on acceptable packaging. Pre-paid shipping charges and insurance are recommended. ECC will ship the repaired or replaced product to you via freight pre-paid, within the continental United States. ECC accepts no responsibility for data loss due to warranty service. It is highly recommended to back up all data before shipping harddrives or systems for repair/replacement service.

ECC MAKES NO EXPRESS OR IMPLIED WARRANTIES, FOR ANY LOSS OF DATA OR ANY FINANCIAL LOSSES DUE TO HARDWARE OR SOFTWARE FAULT OR MISUSE. INCLUDING WITHOUT LIMITATION, IMPLIED WARRANTIES FOR FITNESS FOR A PARTICULAR PURPOSE.

WARRANTY FOR MALFUNCTIONS AND DEFECTS IS LIMITED TO REPAIR AND REPLACEMENT AS SET FORTH IN THIS WARRANTY STATEMENT. THESE WARRANTIES GIVE YOU SPECIFIC LEGAL RIGHTS AND YOU MAY ALSO HAVE OTHER RIGHTS WHICH VARY FROM STATE TO STATE.
